DeepFinesse is an AI model that plays the game of contract bridge, a card game defined by hidden information, inference, and long-horizon strategic decision-making. Built on reinforcement learning and Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes (POMDPs), DeepFinesse reasons over unseen hands, updates beliefs based on bidding and play, and selects actions that maximize expected outcomes under uncertainty.
